THEME WEEK:is coming March 4-8.  Our theme this year is Architecture, with an emphasis on the Chicago Skyscraper.  We are starting to collect the following recycled materials.  Please bring them to my office.  Thank you!

Cereal/granola bars etc sized boxes
shoe boxes
small shipping boxes
tissue boxes
toilet paper rolls
paper towel rolls

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.

1The Junior Kindergarten cracked a brown egg and a white egg, after talking about how they are all different colors and they all look different on the outside but are all the same on the inside.  A great start to celebrating "Kindness Week" and Black History Month.

2. Our preschool is so enriched. Besides the exciting projects they do, they practice writing in their journals. They learn their letter sounds and if they are ready to read, they read.  While all the time, they think they are playing!

  3.  The Lunar New Year celebration was so much fun. Lower School students and their Griffin buddies played Chinese games, learned calligraphy, did a craft and heard stories.  They also saw a presentation on how Lunar New Year is celebrated in China.

 4.  Our Third Graders in Art collaborated with the Upper School AP Chemistry class on a Color Lab. Through a simple experiment, the students learned which colors are used to make the colors in their art class markers.
