CROSS COUNTRY TEAM/BOARD GAMES
It has reached that time of year where, depending upon the weather, the Cross Country Team becomes The Board Game Club.
Do you have any board games that are getting dusty or are not used as much as they used to be?  We are looking for gently used board games, with all the pieces, to be donated to the Lower School for Board Game Club.  Any games that involve strategy or can be played in a 40 minute period are wonderful.  Some of our favorites from last year were Apples to Apples Jr, Othello, SET, and Monopoly.  Again, any game that is a favorite of your family I'm sure would be a hit for the students.  Thanks so much.

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.
   1. At Roycemore, we celebrate our diversity, and we love it when parents come in to share their cultures with us.
2. Our Junior Kindergarten class was reading a Thanksgiving version of the old woman who swallowed a fly.  They had so much fun with the puppet and acting it out.  What a fun way to listen to a story!

    3. As part of our Leader in Me Program, students get leadership awards when they display good citizenship or go above and beyond what is expected of them.

4. At Roycemore everyone loves our tumbling program.  Here is one boy's way to hold the door open for all the other children going to recess while practicing his splits :-)

5. I love that our kids do not have to sit at desks to do their work if they do not want to.  Check the bottom of the blog for kids enjoying reading in comfort.

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.

 1.  Our Early childhood Program is so enriched. The children think they are playing, but oh are they learning! But they also get to have free play. They get the best of both.

  2. Our children use technology to enhance their learning, not just for technology sake.  Here the 3rd graders are creating Adobe Spark videos on the three branches of government. In our collaboration with Adobe, every student and teacher was given a copy of the Adobe Suite, and we are using it!!!

   3. Do you remember having to sit at a desk all day, when you were in school.  That is NOT the way children learn.  They need to be in a comfortable spot for their bodies.
