PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.

 1. The Second Graders have been studying simple machines.  As an activity, they had to use what they learned to put together a more complex machine that had a purpose.

2. The 4th Graders have been studying owls, and culminated their unit with dissecting owl pellets to see what the owls had eaten and regurgitated in the pellets. They absorb the animals and throw up the pellet with the skeletons

3. Love the interactions between our older students and our younger ones.  Here is one of our Upper School students reading a book to our Pre-kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten students and he had their undivided attention.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go.  Please check them to see which ones are going that week.

**Those who register on or before December 1st will have access to reserved seating at Winter Program!

(Dinner registration is not necessary to attend the Winter Program).

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.

  1. One of the best parts of being in a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 school are the times that the Lower School students get to spend with their Upper School Griffin Buddies. On Thursday, they collaborated on decorating and writing cards to children in hospitals.  What a wonderful experience for everyone and greatly appreciated by the children who receive them.

2. The 4th Grade celebrated reading with "Flashlight Friday" . The students brought in sleeping bags and other comfortable items and flashlights. They all had such a great time reading with their flashlights!

  3. The snow has arrived and with it lots of fun at recess!

4.  Even our youngest children participate in service. In our Extended Day Program, the youngest group created 156 letters to Veterans.  I know they too, will be appreciated.
