Happy New Year!!
I hope you all had a wonderful winter break.  We are looking forward to seeing you all on Monday, January 7

Please be sure to bring back all the winder clothes you took with you over break.  With this beautiful January weather, we will be going out on Monday. We go out everyday if the temperature is over 20 degrees.

Don't Miss the Early Childhood and Kindergarten Expo!
We invite you to join us for an Early Childhood and Kindergarten Expo on Saturday, January 12th, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  Families and children are encouraged to explore our Pre-Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms. Our expert teachers will engage children as they take part in interactive STEAM based activities and make something fun to take home!
Families will also enjoy locally-sourced snacks from our food service provider, HandCut Foods and enjoy a story with our delightful and energetic librarian.

Current and prospective families are welcome!

Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 21 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King.  Our Extended Day Program will NOT be available.

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.
1. The Kindergarten finished their study of Transportation by putting on a "Car Show" for their parents and other students in Lower School.  All of the students designed their own vehicles and created them using recyclable materials.

  2. Wassail was wonderful! All the Griffin Buddies got together to make blankets for Project Linus.  We then sang Holiday songs and had treats.  It was so much fun, and we made 55 blankets for children who are ill and in the hospital. It was a great way to end the year!

  3. The Pre-kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten celebrated the end of 2018 by making gingerbread men which ran away and they had to find them.  They found them in and then made houses for them with help from their parents.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go.  Please check them to see which ones are going that week.

THE 2019 WINTER REGISTRATION FORM WAS SENT OUT IN A SEPARATE EMAIL. THEY WILL START JANUARY 14.
We still have spaces in most of our clubs and activities.  If your child would like to attend and you have not signed them up, you may still do so. An email from you will suffice.

SNOW DAYS

For school closures or schedule changes due to weather, texts, emails and voice calls will be used to notify families and faculty/staff, as well as posts on the school website, Facebook and Twitter, and on the Emergency Closing Center website at emergencyclosingcenter.com.

A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment.  Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children.  There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats.
