We were so delighted to see you all at conferences. It is a scheduled time when we can meet and work together to make sure your children are the best they can be, but do know if you ever have a concern or question or just want to talk, we are always available. That is one of the things that makes our school different. We are all working together in partnership for your children!

Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour, if you have not already done so. Can you believe we are back on Central Standard Time? Can winter be far behind? Let me take this opportunity to remind you that we go out to recess every day. Please make sure your children have jackets, hats, gloves, snow pants and boots so they are prepared for any weather.

Jordan Matter, photographer and author visited Roycemore and brought with him an incredible message of inspiration, empowerment, acceptance, differentiation, and individuality.  He spoke with our Grade 2-12 students about his life and career as a photographer and working with dancers of all ages.  He was so inspired by the stories about our school and students, he's planning on coming back to Roycemore to do a photo essay about us!

If your child was inspired by Jordan's visit, please buy his new book, Born To Dance.  Not only does it have amazing photos of kids dancing, he includes their inspirational personal stories.  Karrie Fisher, our librarian is selling autographed copies until November 9. I bought more than one. They make great gifts for the holidays, and I am loving it! Look for more pictures at the bottom of the blog.

LOWER SCHOOL ADMISSIONS' TOUR Tuesday, November 6
 9:00-10:30 a.m.
Most people who look at our school come from referrals from our parents.  If you know someone who is looking for a fabulous school for their children for this year or next year, have them come on Tuesday. If that does not work, they can contact Amanda Avery, our Director of Admissions for information.

PICTURES THIS WEEK: I will be putting a lot of pictures on the blog at different places, but there will always be more at the bottom of the blog.
   1. The Second Grade as a culmination of their Native American Unit, took the public bus to the Mitchell Indian Museum.  For some of our kids, it was the first time riding on public transportation.

  2. Although school officially ends at 3:15, we still offer enrichment activities every day until 4:00PM and our Extended Day Program, which is also very enriched, runs until 6:00PM.  This is a picture from our STEAM club where the students are making hibernation homes for nocturnal animals.

3. Our students are really enjoying our new French program.  Please check out Madame Michaelson's Instagram post https://www.instagram.com/mmemichaelson/ to see their accomplishments.

In Lego Club the students had to make a "blueprint" of what they wanted to build, and then build it!
